The Bronco Military Association Military Hall of Fame was established in 2024 to honor uniformed service members who have meritoriously served on active duty, as well as individuals who have supported the FSU cadet program and the broader community.
Prospective inductees include graduates of Fayetteville State University, USAF Detachment 607, and FSU AFROTC partnership schools, including UNC at Pembroke, Methodist University, Campbell University, and Fayetteville Technical Community College, who completed the FSU ROTC program and distinguished themselves in military and/or civilian professions.
Nominations must be presented to the Bronco Military Association by May 10th of the year in which the person is nominated for induction. The nominee must have demonstrated outstanding or exceptionally meritorious service on active duty and made significant contributions to improving the FSU cadet program. Annual inductions into the Hall of Fame must be approved by the Bronco Military Association Board of Directors by the end of May each year.

Founded in 2024, the Bronco Military Association Military Hall of Fame honors individuals who have:
• Made significant contributions to enhancing the FSU AFROTC program and promoting the standards and ideals that shape the ROTC experience.
• Achieved distinction in their chosen military or civilian profession, emphasizing the positive impact on the United States military, Fayetteville State University AFROTC program, and each college and university’s mission.
Membership in the BMA Military Hall of Fame is limited to:
• Alumni of FSU and its degree-granting member institutions (UNC at Pembroke, Methodist University, Campbell University, and Fayetteville Technical Community College) who earned commissions in the Air Force through the FSU ROTC program, or
• Received a commission from any other source (Navy, OCS, Direct Commission, etc.), or retired from active duty or attained the rank of Major in any military branch, or
• Held or selected for a prominent role in the public or private sector, or
• Awarded the Medal of Honor, verified Killed in Action while deployed to an approved hostile or
• Hazardous duty area, or served in an approved hostile or hazardous duty area, or
• Other individuals honored by the BMA Military Hall of Fame committee for their leadership, selfless service, and setting an example for others.
To nominate an eligible individual for the BMA Military Hall of Fame, please complete the nomination form, attach a publication-quality (JPEG) photo that is 5”x7” or larger (Command or DOD-style photos are highly recommended), and email it to the address below. You can also mail a physical copy of the form. In either case, nominations must be received before May 10th of the year in which the individual is being considered for induction.
After reviewing all nominees, the committee will meet in May to select the member(s) who will be inducted into the BMA Military Hall of Fame the following spring. The Chair of the BMA Military Hall of Fame will notify inductees before Memorial Day, and the Committee will assist with communication until the induction ceremony in March or April.
Each inductee will receive a framed certificate and a medallion at the FSU AFROTC Spring Awards Ceremony. Additionally, members will have their names inscribed on a plaque that will be displayed prominently on campus.
